The toucans log a draw in an away match against Houston FC with a final score 0-0

Bryan-College Station, TX (July 9, 2023) – The Toucans took on Houston FC today in a game that was postponed from last evening to this morning at 11am due to unplayable fields in Houston. In this morning’s match Twin City played amazing defense but wasn’t quite able to convert in front of the opponents goal causing them to tie the game with a final score of nil across the board. The last two games of the Toucans season will be at home where they look to show off their talent in front of the local fans and prove that they are a great team worth securing second place in this league as they are currently lined up to do.

The first of the last two home games will be played on July 13 for a rematch against Houston FC whose last home matchup against this team ended in a win for the Toucans. The last game of the regular season for Twin City will also be at home and will be played against Round Rock FC who the Toucans have shut out both of the other times these teams met. With these stats the Toucans should secure wins for both of these games and move onto the playoffs. In today’s game earlier in the morning, the lack of goals scored by Houston FC was due to the Toucan’s unbreakable defense but especially the great saves and goal defending of Victor Villarreal. This was his second start of the season and his first clean sheet game proving how dominant he is and his talent in the goal position!
