Bryan-College Station, TX – May 15, 2024 – Twin City Toucans FC is thrilled to announce its goalkeepers for the upcoming 2024 USL2 Season.

First up is Sean Ellis, who hails from Detroit, Michigan. Ellis’ collegiate career started at Kalamazoo College, where Ellis posted a 0.43 goals-against-average in eight matches played. Ellis briefly spent time with the University of Dayton, but ultimately ended his career at Campbell University, posting a 0.73 goals-against-average in eight total matches.

“The thing I’m most excited for this season is to win games together,” Ellis said. Ellis and the Toucans hope to find themselves atop the Lone Star Division at season’s end after falling just short of the playoffs last season.

Tristan Whitlock arrives in Bryan after spending time at Upper Iowa University and Colorado State University-Pueblo. The Austin, Texas native appeared in only two games for Upper Iowa but only allowed seven goals in 13 starts for CSU-Pueblo in 2023.

“I’m only a sophomore, but I am excited for this new opportunity with a brand new team,” Whitlock said.

Rounding out the goalkeepers is Ross Versari, the youngest of the three keepers on the Toucans this season. A native of College Station, Versari comes into this season fresh off of a 5A UIL State Championship run with A&M Consolidated High School, led by assistant coach Jarrod Southern.

Twin City Toucans FC is excited to embark on this journey with its players and coaching staff and looking forward to a season filled with excitement, growth, and achievement.
